Organizing an intimate wedding in Quebec can sometimes be a challenge, especially if you’re far from major urban centers. You’re probably wondering how to find an officiant who’s the right fit for you and who's going to accept to follow you on top of a mountain for exemple. Patrick had an idea that clicked: “Have you thought about becoming a wedding officiant? I can totally see you in that role!” And since then, it’s been a no-brainer for us: why not offer a complete service by being both photographers and officiant for our couples? It allows us to make the experience even more personal and seamless.

Together, we create an atmosphere of intimacy and authenticity, where the emotions of your day are preserved with precision. Whether exchanging vows in a natural setting, on a secluded beach, or atop a mountain, we will make your intimate wedding ceremony even more magical.
I am there to guide every step of your ceremony, while Patrick captures the laughters, exchanged glances, and moments of connection. The rest of the time, we photograph your day together. Our complementary roles allow you to fully experience this unique day while creating incredible photographic memories.
How to legally get married in the province of Québec ?
You let me take care of everything...
Don’t worry about the paperwork! I take care of all the formalities with the Directeur de l’État Civil. Whether you’re in a heterosexual or same-sex relationship, you have the full right to marry legally in Quebec. Quebec recognizes marriage for all couples, regardless of sex or gender identity.
Same thing if you don’t live in Quebec—you still have the right to get legally married here.
You’ll just need to provide me with a few essential documents (such as your IDs and birth certificates), and I’ll take care of the rest—even finding witnesses if you don’t have any! That way, you can fully enjoy your day without worrying about the paperwork.
… Or choose a loved one to officiate
If you’d prefer a loved one to officiate your union, that’s absolutely possible! As long as they are authorized to do so under Quebec’s legislation, they can be your officiant for the day, also known as a designated officiant.

N.B. My officiant services are reserved for couples who choose the full range of Love is Nord services, including photography and event planning assistance, except in rare cases. This allows us to ensure a complete and seamless experience, from start to finish, on your special day.

As a wedding officiant, I act as a civil registrar responsible for receiving the free and informed consent of the future spouses. I ensure that all formalities prescribed by law are observed.
I am a member of the Centre Amour & Mariage de Québec team. With my in-depth knowledge of wedding rituals, I'll create a personalized wedding ceremony for you. I can also advise you on how to avoid any possible mishaps during the ceremony.
Yes, since I'm accredited by the Quebec government to make your union official, I'll give you a copy of the declaration to send to the Directeur de l'état civil du Québec (DEC-50) on the day of your wedding. You will then have to apply to the government for your marriage certificate, in the same way as your birth certificate, which is issued by the Registre de l'état civil.
I can perform legally binding wedding ceremonies anywhere in the province of Quebec, and symbolic ceremonies anywhere else.
Yes, you will be married under the provisions of the Civil Code of Quebec. You'll need to check the application of this law with a competent legal authority in your province or country. I'll be able to direct you to make the process easier.
A mandatory publication of the marriage notice must be posted for 20 days prior to the wedding.
In certain situations, for reasons deemed serious, it is possible to celebrate a marriage before this period has elapsed by obtaining a dispensation from publication. If you think your case may apply, please let me know.
